As the photos show the 411 is garaged and covered.  (Note in the photo, the hood is not fully closed).

It starts up instantly.  This is due to the replacement of the OEM Carter carburettor with a custom-tuned Holley 670 CFM Avenger set up by Bates Engineering. The Holley has an electric choke, which works much better than the original.

The radiator was recently (2018) re-cored. At the same time a new temperature gauge and sending unit was installed. The car now runs to proper temperature.

The transmission underwent a very expensive rebuild in USA where the shop combined two transmissions to make it a lock-up with a tighter shift point. This may save fuel and give lower zero-to-sixty times, but it is not as comfortable. There is a spare transmission acquired in the USA the last time we shipped a container. That transmission was checked over and reported as good. Best to swap.

Otherwise, the restoration is about finishing. The paint is a temporary guide coat. It should be sanded to show high and low spots, then final painting. Some minor garage dents would be filled (see photos) as well as final finish of the RF guard (fender). The drivers door droops just slightly.

The chrome bumpers that were properly restored in USA suffered damage when the guard was repaired (I should have been suing all these shops for negligence, but did not).

The new OEM Bristol stainless muffler system suffered a dent during transport. Minor, but needs attending.

CURRENT LOCATION

Location and shipping

The car is located in New Zealand but has never been registered in NZ. It has cleared customs, but to be placed on the road will need to pass VIN. All of the border paperwork is in order.

It can be repatriated to the UK without difficulty because proof of its original and registration in the UK remains with the car.  The yellow UK Registration Plate MCP 560W is on the car, and the V5 that was in the possession of Frank Dale and Stepsons, dealer of Rolls Royce cars was given to me along with their whole file on the car that they sold to the American. That file goes with the car.

The car also was registered in the USA and comes with the Rhode Island paperwork in my name, as well as the NY registration card of the previous owner.
